Who we are

What the service does
You describe the kind of customer you want to reach. We research the market and return a small number of companies that match, with our reasoning, any current signals we can evidence, and a business contact where one is findable from public and licensed data sources.
What we do not promise
Research is research. We do not guarantee that a company will be interested, that a contact is current, or that an email address will deliver. We label how confident we are in every address and we never present an unverified one as verified. We do not knowingly return invented companies, people or claims, and if you find one we want to hear about it.
Free use
Free spins are provided on a schedule shown in the product. We may change how many leads a free spin returns, and how often, and we may pause free use entirely if the service is being abused or costs become unsustainable. A spin that fails, or that returns fewer results than our own minimum, does not consume your free turn.
Lead credits
Credits buy additional leads beyond the free schedule. They do not expire while your account is open. A credit is consumed when a lead is delivered to you, not when a spin is started, so work we could not complete is not charged for. Credits have no cash value and are not transferable.
Refunds
If a paid spin delivers results you believe are not what you asked for, tell us within 30 days and we will refund the credits or the payment. We would rather refund than argue about a lead. Refunds return credits to your balance where possible; where a payment is reversed, any unspent credits from that purchase are removed.
How you may use the results
The contacts we surface are business contacts, provided for legitimate business-to-business outreach. You are responsible for complying with the law that applies to you when you contact them, including rules on electronic marketing, data protection and do-not-contact registers. You may not resell or redistribute the data as a list product, and you may not use it for consumer marketing, harassment, or anything unlawful.
Your account
We sign you in with an emailed link rather than a password. Anyone with that link can access your account, so treat it as you would a password. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from your account page.
The General
If you choose to hand your leads to The General, you are asking us to transfer that information into a separate DFX Intelligence product with its own terms. We record that consent. Nothing transfers until you ask for it.
Availability and liability
The service is provided as-is. We will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to account holders. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States.
